A magnificent 1950s LONGINES military-style watch
A superb Longines gentleman's manual wind wristwatch dating from the mid-1950s in fine condition. Beautifully refurbished black dial with luminous Arabic numeral hour markers and silver chromed hands. Longines 17 jewel manual cal/23ZSD movement. 33mm diameter excluding winder. 
The black dial, signed by Longines with the Longines logo, has a sweep second hand and 1/10th second divisions supplied on watches designed for military use. The high-grade jewelled movement is signed by Longines, its number dating its manufacture to about 1957. 
The case is steel with a Longines signed screw back and is in near to mint condition. A clean clear lens and new good quality black leather strap. Overall a rare and very attractive Swiss-made Longines military style watch dating from the mid-1950s in excellent and near to mint condition and in good working order. |
