8.5 x 5.5 inches. xxviii, 143 pages with an additional 64 pages of trade advertisements, the majority with interesting illustrations of road making equipment and supplies.
A very nice copy in original brown cloth, gilt lettering. Protected in a modern handmade archival cloth slipcase, leather label titled in gilt.
The prologue states this work to be a "comprehensive treatise on modern British Road Practice". Almost certainly, it was published in very small numbers and issued privately rather than being put on public sale.
