The work comprises three parts: Section I - Historical development of heliochromy, general survey of processes, direct heliochromes on silver chloride. Section II - Tri-colour photography. Section III - Lippmann's process of interference heliochromy.



A most important historical and practical survey and manual at the critical period in the development of color processes.

This London edition with 343 pages appears substantially larger than the 230 page American edition published in New York and Chicago the same year and also contains a colour-printed photographic frontispiece and two colour plates absent from the American edition.



The 80 page supplement of advertisements is particularly useful to students of historical photography.
